flavour of the month

in Ireland, people coordinate their looks with the current season..

winter-white shirt, summer-bright colours; red, pink,light green, spring-floral printed tops, autumn-brown/nude colours

after a while, it became rather dull..

i am a person who likes to wear floral printed tops in winter!

thankfully, in Malaysia i don't have to be the odd one out...it's either sunshine or rain (which only means u should bring an umbrella to go out)

nowadays, i am wearing brown...

ZARA

ZARA

ZARA

u guessed it. it's not real leather

made of 80% of polyester and 20% cotton. other words- so LIGHT and COMFY!

i wear it as a sling (because i can carry mia chan on the other shoulder)

it's medium sized therefore great for travelling..

and i got it from ZARA for e40

i know..such a bargain right?

happy 4 months old

received an email from hubby today...

'Time flies so fast.. Mia chan's is 4 months old now.. Feels like yesterday brought u guys home from Rotunda hospital.. Mia chan.. Daddy miss u lot.. Mummy chan as well..'

Selamat ulang tahun ke 4 bulan Mia chan

i am 4 months old

women talk

don't compare your marriage to others..

came across those words as i was reading one of the magazines in che nin's house (because i have too much time yes)

and my first thought was...how true

che nin got married just a few months after me

but if you look at the way her marriages and mine differs...there's simply too much

being at their house for a few days makes me wonder at these differences

what they have achieved and what we haven't

like

a new car, a home, stable jobs and an upcoming baby...

we have..an old shabby car that makes all sorts of noises, a rented apartment (although we have just moved out), jobs wise we are nowhere near stable...

yet

we have mia-chan

mia-chan

i still remember

the moment that pregnancy test showed 2 lines...

i cried...and it was not happy tears..

i was scared, i was mad at myself and what's worse..a part of me almost blame the husband

we were only a few months into our marriage, living in a rented apartment and i was 26..

the things that played over and over in my head was i'm going to be FAT and stay FAT, i will never finish my exams and we will never get to go on a honeymoon

...we were simply NOT READY

how to build a family when we were not yet a proper couple? i was busy studying for exams, doing calls day and night while hubby was away months at a time to work

but praise Allah The Most Merciful

all those hesistation and negative thoughts meant nothing once mia-chan arrived

yes

we are still without a new car, a home or stable jobs...

but if we waited for the time to be ready

i believe it will never come

and although hubby is miles away from us...

we are doing OK daddy!

bags for all ages

how old were u when u started to wear bags? well, not school bag of course, i meant proper bag, lady bag, fashionable bag...

for me, it was about the time when i went abroad. the reason was simple. i can no longer depend on mum's bag to carry my small important bits-sanitary pads, phone, etc

so i have owed mum's bags a HUGE deal...

i'm wearing:
tudung-www.pearlhaya.com
top-oasis
jeans-levis
mum's bag-JAEGER

this is mum's current bag-JAEGER..it is superheavy...i think she chosed heavy bag on purpose, so that we would stop throwing our stuffs into it

well that won't stop me modelling around with it

the bag makes me feel important

mum also has a HUGE collection of bags. i think i inherit her love of bags

bag-RADLEY

OK. so i wasn't actually reading..

RADLEY is mum's well loved bag...she bought it while visiting me in Ireland

it's made of fabric with leather lining...light...complete opposite of JAEGER

sometimes i wonder how she made her choice of bags

it's certainly not the price or brand...and her collection really varies-colour, shape, weight, material...

should bags be age-appropriate? eg slingbags for single ladies, bulky and heavy bags for older ladies...

i think NOT

as long as u look good with it...go ahead and carry it!

KL again

that's right..

we're heading to KL again

reason: ma, abah, kak irah, syauqi and qistina (basically everyone) are off to Bandung for a short trip...i know, it's in the middle of school days (plus the kids are in the middle of an exam)...but these people would skip school for Bandung any given day

poor me and mia-chan have to be left behind...because she's too small and she doesn't have a passport yet (and also because mummy can't afford tickets..)

anyway, there's nobody at home. so, we are going to spend our days at che nin's house in KL while the lucky ones get to enjoy Bandung

*everybody, meet che nin..

i am che nin

OK. sad stories aside, we all bundled up in abah's car and off we go...to KL...again...

mia-chan was all excitement

this is exciting!

when i said bundled up, i really mean bundled up...

i have to hold mia-chan for the hold journey! aiyoo....my poor back.. didn't realise my baby has grown so quick. mia-chan is heavy!

i can't believe she actually came out from my belly...

i'm wearing:
tudung-www.pearlhaya.com
top-fcuk
jeans-borrowed

luckily we made a pitstop at Gua Musang R&R. it's baby friendly, equipped with restaurants, mosque and clean toilets which are hard to find these days

mummy and mia-chan

Qistina also loves it as it has a playground with swings and stuffs...

We reached KL at 11.30pm and i was all tired and grumpy. Luckily mia-chan slept for nearly the whole journey...but next time we are bringing your car seat ok?

my new tudungs

my package is finally here!

so quick and fast la!
(can u tell that  i'm super excited?)

i'm going to do a quick reveal...hehe

one

two

three

all together now...

this one is my fav for now...

so i'm a few hundred-ringgits poorer, but then again i'm always 'miskin'...so who cares rite ?

i just LOVE a bargain...sometimes to the extent of getting something that i don't really like just because there's a SALE

one SALE that i always waited on is handbag SALE...happens every Summer and Winter...

i'm not rich enough to always get what i want...so buying bags only happens after serious thought and consideration (OK.maybe not all the time)...

so i comfort myself in looking at pictures and admiring other people's bag...so that when the sale is on, i will know what is a bargain and what is not

....and if it ticks all the right boxes...SNAP!!!

it's Sunday again

tudung-www. pearlhaya.com
dress-kamdar
bag-ZARA

*i only get to wear this outfit for 10minutes before mia-chan peed all over me*

it's been a mad week..

LOTS to do, so little time

and mia-chan is being ever so challenging...acting like she's my boss and demanding all sorts-cuddling, breastfeed, playing and at times just wanting me to be next to her while she does her stuff ie rolling around and making weird noises

one time, she even woke up at 3am to PLAY

so not COOL

and if she didn't get what she wants...

i want mummy!

she cries like a baby...so nice la being a baby

BTW, www.pearlhaya.com had a 25%off sale and free shipping on FRiday!

so i HAD to fork out the money i don't have and spend..

i bought 3 tudungs (i originally wanted 4, but somebody else snapped the last one  :(  )..good tudungs are very hard to come by, and if u're living abroad..they are just impossible to find

so had to get them (LOTS of them) before i go

MR Postman, please hurry :)

mia-chan had been jolly good playing by herself while i write this post...and now she has come to claim her reward..

au revoir!!
