yes. it's Saturday

and yes. it's also 24 more days till exam!

*freaking out!*

OK.

maybe not that freaked out

because exam is near and there are gazillions more of stuff to study, i just HAVE to watch korean drama

G.E.N.I.U.S

not the drama....me!

the drama is called THE SECRET GARDEN

it stars hyun bin as the boy and hajiwon as the girl (i'm just mentioning the names..haven't heard of them before)

it started off quite typical of any korean drama

rich boy. poor girl. boy meets girl. boy falls for the girl. 3rd party comes in. love triangle...and u know the rest

except

here's the twist

while all the arguing and backstabbing heat on, they (both leads and 3rd and 4th party) all went to Jeju Island (an island somewhere in Korea. i know because it is mentioned in nearly all of  korean dramas)

and here is where the two leads got lost in a forest and came across a restaurant in the middle of the woods (secret garden)

the ahjumma (lady/aunty/makcik) running the restaurant gave them both a bottle of home-brewed wine each to take home

and

of course, they went home and more yelling(korean man yells a lot in drama, not sure if they do the same in real life), fighting and tears ensue

one night, they both drink the wine (and this is with a sad music playing in the background) while thinking about each other

and voila!!

they both exchange bodies!

if u have watched any korean dramas before, u would have probably guessed what happened next..

they both finally understands what it means when people said  ' put yourself in one's shoe' and realized that they simply cannot live without each other

i have managed to finished episode 1 to 10 (within one day.i know...shame on me!)

the verdict?

so-so lah

i haven't watched korean dramas in ages, and this is a nice remembrance of why i just loved korean dramas

koreans are so DRAMATIC

when hindustanis love to dance in the rain..koreans fights and kisses in the snow

the best part?

...is when the guy grabs the girl's wrist, drags her and then run while a fast-paced song plays in the background ( i call it the running song)

so DRAMATIC!

i'm going to snuggle under my duvet while re-playing the scene over and over again in my head...
